8
I’d like to see samples before making my product selection. How can I request samples?
Absolutely! We understand the importance of seeing and experiencing samples before selecting the perfect color or texture for your residential or commercial application. Don’t hesitate to contact us to request samples you would like. Color matching might sometimes become a complex process; however, all we need is a little piece or chip of paint, and we can get a close match to the original color. Warning: Despite the color matching machinery being relatively accurate and precise with color matching, the possibility that the color match samples turn out not to be identical still exists.
9
I’d love to give my house a fresh coat of paint, but I don’t know the name of the paint currently applied. Can you guys color match?
Yes! We take a sample (at least 2” x 2”) from the surface you wish to color match and send it to a paint store. After obtaining the color-matched paint, we apply a sample to the surface for client approval.

Zelada’s Painting recommends using the best-in-class materials, but our clients ultimately select the branch and brand at their discretion.
14
Is name-brand paint worth the expense?
Zelada’s Painting always recommends the best-in-class products for better results and longevity of our services. The risks with using lower-end products include poor color retention, shorter lifespan resulting in frequent need to paint, use more products, and simply won’t look as good.
15
As the estimator, will you be personally involved in my job? If not, how will my project be managed?
Our estimators and on-site project leaders actively communicate with each other and are always available to our clients, ensuring our clients’ visions are achieved successfully.
16
What is the painting process?
We start by cleaning the worksite to eliminate any particles or substances on the surface of interest. We begin by masking, repairing any requested damages, and adequately preparing the surface and job site, followed by priming. Finally, we apply the paint, unmask, and complete the project by cleaning the job site.
17
How many coats are you going to paint?
Zelada’s Painting follows the two-coat industry standard to ensure proper coverage and longevity of the end product.
18
When do you roll or spray paint?
It depends on the surface of interest, but spray painting is the fastest way to paint large areas (such as exterior walls) or surface areas with intricate details. Roller painting is better suited for interior walls where you need to avoid getting paint on other surfaces. Brushes are used for detailed work.
19
Will you keep the work area clean during the project?
Absolutely! Our employees create a designated shop area in every project, away from high trafficked areas, where all supplies and tools are kept neat and orderly. In addition, at the end of every workday, we clean the job site. Your home will be kept clean, safe, and tidy throughout the project.
20
How does your company manage job sites when multiple contractors are working at a time?
Painting is like the cherry on top of the cake; it comes last. Zelada’s Painting recommends that clients start the painting process at the end or near the end of other services provided by other contractors. We are often a job site where we have installed drywall and painted surfaces. Either electricians, plumbers, or flooring contractors have to open up holes or unintentionally cause nicks or marks on an already finished surface. In addition, high traffic in hallways and rooms might tamper with Zelada’s Painting estimated completion date. In other words, trades performed simultaneously with painting will intervene in our goal of providing the high-quality finish you deserve; it takes more time and may result in additional charges to do patches and touch-ups.

Whatever reasons you may have to paint your garage doors, Zelada’s Painting is here to help! However, if you paint over the baked enamel, it will need to be maintained every 5 to 10 years, depending on the environment.
